Job Description
The Vice President of Ancillary Services is responsible for overall planning, development, coordination, implementation and management of all services in assigned areas of responsibility. Works closely with Vice President of Patient Care Services and Vice President of Medical Affairs to improve: quality outcomes; patient, physician and employee satisfaction; access; efficiency, and effectiveness. Collaborates with Medical Staff leadership in preparing capital expenditure budgets. Works to improve productivity of all assets - personnel, time, equipment, materials, facilities, and real estate. Develops and implements business, operating, and marketing plans specifically focused on retail revenue growth. Consults with and advises the Chief Operating Officer on issues relating to all components of the health system and areas of responsibility. Recommends changes in policy, facilities, equipment, and programs in order to achieve system objectives. Provides leadership, direction, and administration of operations in accord with the mission, vision, and values of the Health System. Provides open communication at all levels throughout the Health System. Maintains accreditation and licensure.

Retail Revenue Growth
Conducts market research to determine need for retail service offerings to patients, health plans, and community physicians. Develops tactics to deliver retail services at highest level of quality and customer satisfaction to facilitate gaining a dominant competitive advantage that promotes measurable same store growth in net revenue on an annual basis.
Management Responsibilities
Participates at the executive leadership level for overall management and leadership of the System to develop and implement appropriate strategic and operational plans. Provides advice and consulting support to SJC leadership on matters of goal setting, strategic implementation regarding system objectives and business development. Promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values of the SJC health system internally and externally.
Enhance wide scale change and reorganization to achieve a competitive advantage
Quality and financial goals are facilitated through ongoing reorganization of measure-met activities and patient care processes. Program planning, operations and management throughout the continuum of care are designed to decrease risk, positioning the patient care areas for managed care Facilitates the integration of patient care delivery systems.
Clinical performance goals are presented at the leadership level
New services are established to enhance patient care services throughout the continuum. Technology assessment is conducted for improved patient care and resource utilization.
