Job Description: Technical Sales Manager

Our company is the largest global manufacturer of Coating and Laminating machinery for Flexible Packaging, Consumer Packaging, Barrier Packaging, and Pharmaceutical Packaging.

Our Headquarter is in Europe and our US plant is in New York.

As this role requires to travel extensively (40-50%) throughout US and Canada, but we do not require relocation.

We prefer the candidate to be home-based in the Midwest, possibly near Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, or Ohio but not required.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Hunt and Develop New Customers in the Packaging or Converting markets
  • Manage both existing and new Accounts
  • Manage technical solutions and service activities both internally and with customers
  • Be an asset to the customer
  • Grow the US Sales through customer acquisition and growing existing business
  • Attend Trade Shows, Market Analysis, and Market Activities

Requirements:

  • Experience in the Flexible Packaging Machinery or Materials is a plus
  • Proven track record of growing sales for a minimum of 2-5 years
  • Knowledge of Consultative Sales Solutions in a B2B Manufacturing market
  • Knowledge of either Flexible Packaging Machinery, Laminations, or Materials is a plus, not required
  • Ability to diagnose faults and make recommendations in customer manufacturing environment
  • Strong Business Development Skills
  • Strong analysis skills and attention to detail
  • Independent, responsible work style = Self-Starter
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Flexibility to travel extensively throughout US and Canada
  • Ability to travel up to 40-50% with customers and also to NY once a month for meetings
