DESCRIPTION:

This position is part of a team of attorneys servicing the Toshiba companies in the United States.  The attorney primarily will support all aspects of our newly formed North America Shared Service Center (NASSC), which provides human resources, IT, finance, accounting, tax and procurement services to our North American subsidiaries and affiliates supporting over 4,000 employees across North America.  The NASSC is centrally located in Irvine, California.

The Staff Counsel will be expected to provide counsel to the business at all levels of the organization.  Responsibilities will be varied and are expected to include reviewing, negotiating and drafting contracts, drafting and implementing corporate policies and procedures, counseling on HR matters, supporting compliance efforts, training employees and assisting with litigation matters.  Staff Counsel will be expected to perform other related duties as assigned and will report up to the Office of the General CounseI.
