My client is a leading global manufacturer of high performance, electronic components serving a variety of applications and markets. Their unique expertise has enabled them to maintain a leading position in the wireless communications marketplace. Due to their advanced technology they have expanded into the consumer electronics (mobile phones, PDAs, PC, laptops, MP3 headsets) and automotive markets. My client has manufacturing facilities in the US as well as the Pacific Rim.  They are a part of a diversified $6Billion industrial manufacturer.

This position is responsible for product management of a $200MM Business Unit product line. Products are primarily used in consumer electronics such as cell phones, laptop computers and digital cameras. Further detail will be provided during the interview process. Position requires managing product throughout lifecycle including product definition, development, launch, growth, maturity and exit. Position manages the product line P&L, develops strategy for growth, implements the strategy for growth and manages results across organizational boundaries. Position will work closely with product marketing and identify customer needs, pricing requirements, competitive analysis etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a BS Business or Technical degree, with an MBA preferred

Must come from electronic component manufacturing selling to the OEM market, must have experience from the electronics manufacturing industry supplying components to the mobile handset OEM's.

P&L Experience with a proven track record of successfully managing a product line from launch through exit, driving yield, cost and profitability with aggressive timeliness.

Understanding competitors (advantages/disadvantages and develop internal and external strategies

Monitor trends (business and technical) of primary markets (general consumer, mobile phone, notebook, tablet, and gaming)

Develop sales forecasts, pricing strategies, presentations, capacity planning forecast, and strategies for growth.

Work with both internal and external to maintain quality, NPI.

Will work with customers directly to better understand their needs and align product road maps.

Full product life cycle management.

Will participate in manufacturing planning, S&OP and finance meetings.

Will Relocate.
