Profile
The candidate will work with technologists and business partners to draft, review, research, analyze, negotiate, and execute technology agreements – non-disclosure agreements, master professional service agreements, license agreements, software-as-a-service (SAAS) agreements, etc. Areas include cloud computing, IT infrastructure services (such as capacity, storage, analytics, content delivery), software licenses, software and hardware maintenance, and professional services with an emphasis in privacy, data security, intellectual property, software, and cloud computing. Will support teams on risks, mitigation strategies, negotiating strategic agreements, regulatory and contractual compliance, and operational matters. Responsible for analyzing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IT agreements; communicates with business partners; seeks and obtains advice of other counsel. Work in parallel with coalition legal counsel in multiple regions of the world to provide strategic direction to SME's, while aligning the legal activities within company with recognized best practices. Coach, manage, and develop team members in their professional growth and mastery. Organize people, projects, and work design to best meet the needs of the business.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a J.D. degree and be a member in good standing of at least 1 State Bar. Must have 7+ years of practicing law experience, with 5+ years in IT areas of software, security, privacy. A business or technology undergrad is preferred. Experience with cloud computing and software based products (licensing methods and models) is required. In-house experience at a technology company would benefit. Strong presentation skills required. |
