Job Overview:
Primary responsibility for providing regulatory and compliance-related
legal advice to the Company. Specifically handles Company-wide
regulatory compliance matters pertaining to OSHA, EPA, Weights &
Measures, Health Inspections, USDA/FDA, Recalls, Alcohol and Tobacco
Violations, Anti-money Laundering, PSE product restrictions, Country of
Origin regulations and environmental matters. Responsible for managing
legal matters pertaining to federal regulatory agencies. Provides legal
advice and prepares legal documents regarding federal or state
regulatory issues that affect the organization's operations. Job Responsibilities: -
Provides legal advice and handles Company-wide regulatory compliance
matters pertaining to OSHA, EPA, Weights & Measures, Health
Inspections, USDA/FDA, Recalls, Alcohol and Tobacco Violations,
Anti-money Laundering, PSE product restrictions, Country of Origin
regulations and environmental matters.
- Assists in developing regulatory compliance policies and procedures and support procurement of business licenses.

Provides support to the Privacy Officer. Ensure the company
protects confidential information including that of its employees and
customers.
- Manages the company response to any data security
breaches and ensures adherence to corporate and legal requirements and
physical and electronic security under HIPAA.
- Conducts research and prepares legal documents related to regulatory and legislative issues.
- Provides legal training, coordinates with, and educates business units as to agency compliance obligations.
Job Requirements: - J.D. degree and membership in appropriate state bar and house counsel status if necessary.
- Eight years’ legal experience and thorough knowledge of relevant subject matter is required.
- Knowledge and experience with regulatory agencies
- Preferred understanding of retail / grocery regulatory environments.
- Experience with HIPAA compliance and managing privacy issues to insure the protection of customer, employee and company data.
- Experience with pharmacy compliance, code of conduct and employee hotline management is a plus.
