The Production Supervisor directly supervises production employees to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas.  This includes planning, assigning and directing work, coordinating Continuous Improvement (CI) Teams, addressing product and employee complaints and resolving problems.  This person carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws while following all CI processes and the Management Operating Structure (MOS). 

Background:

• Bachelor’s Engineering or related technical field

• Minimum of 2  years progressive plant experience

• Experience with GMP and food safety practices a plus

• Demonstrated success of process improvement skills is required

• Strong team player and leader with ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines

• Ability to select, coach develop, engage and retain a team of employees

• Ability to adapt to multi-task

• Skill in organization and prioritization and attention to detail

• Union experience preferred

• Excellent verbal and written skills
