Would you like to become part of a company that in 5 years has gone public.  Focused on developing, manufacturing and selling innovative surgical devices.   The primary product was released in 2002 and the company received awards through the Office of the Governor for global leadership in implementing innovation. My client has grown to a $35 Million company in just 5 years and a 50.9% increase over total revenues for the second quarter of 2004 and up 3.1% growth since first quarter 2005. They are targeted to be $100MM in 2008. Their unique technology provides doctors with alternative methods for surgical procedures.

The Manufacturing Engineer contributes to the company success through the development, qualification, verification and validation of manufacturing processes.  This position contributes in a creative and collaborative way with management, project teams, production associates, external vendors and other work groups to achieve the company’s goals of producing market lead products through positive patient outcomes.  This position is also responsible for maintaining and executing all document quality control procedures required complying with federal regulations.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5-10 years experience.  Significant experience in process validation.  Medical device or pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  •  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  •  
  • Knowledge of manufacturing strategies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5s). 
  •  
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail and time management skills to handle multiple projects and priorities.
  •  
  • Able to exercise independent discretion and judgment to quickly analyze/ solve complex problems and propose efficient solutions.
  •  
  • Strong computer skills; operate an assortment of contemporary office equipment, and computer software programs including advanced skills in Windows XP, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet; ability to learn and operate new programs as required.

  •  Inspection/testing experience
  •  
  • Data analysis and statistics experience
  •  
  • Ability to read technical specifications, blueprints, and drawings

A plus in your background would be  assembly and machining experience, CAD Skills (Pro E preferred or equivalent).  Understanding of milling, injection molding, stamping, extrududing, laser welding, bonding and other joining techniques.
