Job Description
IT Support Technician to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure (Hybrid Cloud or On-premises) for customers mainly in the Americas and Asia regions as a part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support for Japanese companies in the U.S. with Japanese and English (Remote or on-site support)
- Receiving inquiries by phone and e-mail, creating tickets, handling initial resolution, and escalation
- Configuration, installation, migration, and troubleshooting of servers, PCs, printers, etc.
- Manage and monitor all installed systems, cloud and infrastructure
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, applications and system management tools
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- OS: Windows, M365, iOS, Android
Skills / Qualifications
- Business-level Japanese/English communication skills are required (reading, writing, verbal communication)
- 1-3 year work experiences of IT user support are preferred
- Be able to make IT related documents and use Microsoft Visio and Excel are preferred.
- A willingness to take responsibility and upward mobility in the execution of work for clients, with growth potential.
- Team-player and good communication (Report, Note, Discuss)
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to preventing omissions
