 My client is a $200MM+ leading global manufacturer of high performance, electronic components serving a variety of applications and markets. Their unique expertise has enabled them to maintain a leading position in the wireless communications marketplace. Due to their advanced technology they have expanded into the consumer electronics and automotive markets. My client has manufacturing facilities in the US as well as the Pacific Rim.  They are a part of a diversified $6Billion industrial manufacturer.

A new division has been created to facilitate further global expansion of my client’s product portfolio.  This fast growing team is developing exciting new ‘OPTICS’ technologies for consumer electronics.

YOU MUST HAVE:

·         Bachelor Degree, plus MBA with CPM preferred

·         Minimum 10-15 yrs experience in Commodity Management or Purchasing

•  Minimum 5 years purchasing Optical Plastics RESINS, Diamond Turning and Sub-micron Tolerancing/Camera modules.
•   Previous experience in Commodity Management, within an international environment.

·         Excellent MS Office skills, oral and written communication skills and high level of personal integrity a must.

·         High energy, with the ability to ‘close’ on assignments

·         Must be open to travel

You will proactively drive commodity teams and internal customers in areas such as price down, cost out, using six-sigma lean strategies, while assuring quality supply to manufacturing. 

·         Sourcing

·         Negotiating supply agreements

·         Lead supplier business reviews

·         Direct supplier audits

·         Evaluate industry trends

·         Evaluate technological trends

·         Support New Product Introduction

·         Assist the manufacturing facilities with critical supplier issues
