My client is a leading global manufacturer of high performance, electronic components serving a variety of applications and markets. Their unique expertise has enabled them to maintain a leading position in the wireless communications marketplace. Due to their advanced technology they have expanded into the consumer electronics (mobile phones, PDAs, PC, laptops, MP3 headsets) and automotive markets. My client has manufacturing facilities in the US as well as the Pacific Rim.  They are a part of a diversified $6Billion industrial manufacturer.

We are seeking a key person to manage our dynamic development team in the electro-acoustic, electro mechanical components area.   We are looking for the individual who will drive the development of new designs as well as enhance and innovate on current designs. You will work closely with Sales & Marketing to fully understand the customers’ needs/desires and requirements.  This position will lead, guide, motivate and mentor a team of senior level research & development engineers. The successful candidate will drive development through proof of concept and prototypes.  Some current product modifications may also be required.  

ABSOLUTE MUSTS:

BS EE, ME, Material Science or Physics with a minimum of 10 years experience in product development and/or management of electro-mechanical, electro-acoustic or electromagnetic components OR Masters with a minimum of 7 years experience.

Must be able to show proven value creation results with rapid new production introduction who is cost conscious.

Proven track record of successful new product launches.

Industry experience with electro-acoustic,  electro-mechanical components is required.

Must be able to work autonomously, and have critical and solid analytical thinking skill sets.

Preferred background: (Any of the below experiences will be a plus and put you closer to the top of the list:

Strong preference for prior experience in audio or acoustic product development and prior experience with surface mount components, electro-mechanical, or electromagnetic components.

Masters degree preferred

Global manufacturing experience (Occasional international travel)
