Director of Quality & Operational Excellence opportunity based in PA.

We are an executive search firm that specializes in the adhesives , tapes and converting industry, and we are searching for a Director of Quality for our client, which is a leading manufacturer of high-quality tapes, @257;lms, and adhesive solutions. This company is growing and expanding and they are seeking a Director of Quality & Operational Excellence to lead and elevate their quality assurance e@256;orts. his opportunity will be based in Eastern PA, and our client is looking for experience working in the lab with adhesive backed materials, and adhesive film products. You will supervise up to 3-4 employees, which will be focusing on Quality of all products manufactured. This opportunity has a base salary in the $130K - $140K's or more plus a very aggressive bonus opportunity.

Position Description

The Director of Quality & Operational Excellence will oversee all quality control functions across the company, ensuring that our products meet and exceed customer expectations. This position will have direct oversight of 3-4 Quality Lab Technicians and will be responsible for quality tracking throughout the production facility and incoming raw materials. Additionally, the Director of Quality & Operational Excellence will play a crucial role in customer complaint resolution, supplier quality management, and product development testing for new formulations and products.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Assurance

Oversee all quality control processes for production and raw materials, ensuring compliance with industry and internal standards.

Implement and maintain quality tracking systems across the manufacturing

Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control testing and

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for any quality defects or process ine@259;ciencies.

Customer & Supplier Quality Management

Monitor, track, and analyze customer complaints to drive continuous

Develop strategies to reduce defects and improve customer

Evaluate and manage supplier quality performance, ensuring raw materials meet required speci@257;cations.

Product Development & Lab Testing

Lead the quality testing of new formulations and products in collaboration with R&D and production teams.

Conduct and oversee lab testing protocols for new product trials and material

Provide technical guidance and quality insights during the product development phase.

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Supervise and mentor Quality Lab Technicians, ensuring best practices and continuous skill

Implement and champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality and e@259;ciency.

Stay up to date with industry standards, certi@257;cations, and regulatory requirements a@256;ecting the business.

Quali@257;cations & Experience

Experience in quality control within manufacturing, preferably in tapes, adhesives or @257;lms.

Strong understanding of ISO standards, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt preferred).

Experience with quality systems implementation and supplier quality management.

Hands-on experience in lab testing and product development processes.

Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational
