Job Description | Duties: Advance the company’s regulatory, legislative, and other advocacy interests around finance and real estate matters. Responsible for helping to coordinate the company’s engagement with the financial industry and federal agencies. Monitoring and engaging on current and proposed residential, commercial and industrial distributed generation, electricity and energy storage policies and regulations. Understanding of real estate issues and a working understanding of real estate financing. Advocate for the company and have the ability to build coalitions and successfully negotiating bureaucratic processes. Interface with other internal clients such as Finance, Sales and Grid Engineering Solutions. Analyze and explain the federal regulatory and legislative policies affecting the solar industry and with regard to finance and real estate matters and the impact of proposed changes. Prepare analytical work to develop and support policy positions. Represent as a general expert in meetings with regulatory staff and policy-makers. Prepare written materials to assist with advocacy efforts Qualification and Experience Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is required. An advanced degree such as a JD Degree from an accredited law school or a MBA with an emphasis in finance is a plus. 5-8 years of work experience including several years in the finance industry dealing with real estate financing. Knowledge of the mortgage lending industry is a must. Substantial experience in real estate matters is required. Ability to communicate complicated and technical points clearly. Ability to rapidly assimilate and synthesize information. Strong commitment to teamwork and ability to perceive when to lead and when to build consensus. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and to perceive when to lead and when to build consensus. A sense of humor and tolerance for operating in uncertain environments. Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high growth environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required. Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal screen. | ||
