Position Summary

We provide personalized in-home care, including medication reminders, memory care, transportation, companionship, respite, and light household support.
The Home Care Caregiver delivers hands-on, non-medical assistance to elderly clients, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from medical procedures, ensuring safety, emotional well-being, and adherence to care plans.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Personal Care Assistance

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
• Provide scheduled 24/7 personal care support

Medication Support

• Provide reminders
• Observe and report side effects or health changes

Memory Care Support

• Supervise and engage clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s
• Ensure safety and emotional stability

Nutrition & Meals

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals
• Assist with feeding as needed

Companionship & Emotional Support

• Engage in conversation, games, reading, and activities
• Promote mental stimulation and reduce isolation

Light Housekeeping

• Maintain safe, clean-living spaces
• Laundry, organization, and light cleaning

Transportation & Errands

• Safely transport clients to appointments and outings
• Assist with shopping and errands

Respite & Mother’s Care

• Provide temporary relief for primary caregivers
• Support new mothers with in-home assistance

Care Plan Compliance & Reporting

• Follow individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate logs and communicate concerns promptly

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Certifications: CNA or HHA preferred (not mandatory)

Experience: Prior home health, elderly care, or personal caregiving preferred

Background: Must pass criminal background check, drug screening, and reference verification

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods and assist with transfers

Transportation:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Active auto insurance (required for transportation duties)

Soft Skills: Compassion, patience, professionalism, strong communication, cultural sensitivity

Working Conditions

• Work performed in clients’ homes
• Flexible shifts: days, evenings, weekends, and overnight care
• Minimum of 10 hours/week for part-time employees
