 My client is a $200MM+ leading global manufacturer of high performance, electronic components serving a variety of applications and markets. Their unique expertise has enabled them to maintain a leading position in the wireless communications marketplace. Due to their advanced technology they have expanded into the consumer electronics and automotive markets. My client has manufacturing facilities in the US as well as the Pacific Rim.  They are a part of a diversified $6Billion industrial manufacturer.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for managing projects involving process development and mechanization, in context of new product development and productivity improvement in the manufacturing area.
This includes initiating, evaluating and implementing solutions to design and production problems, as well as coordinating design changes and improvements necessary to improve manufacturability.

This position is the touch point between Corporate and Manufacturing facilities (which are remote).  You will support NPI, value creation, production support and establish the roadmap to drive innovation in materials, process and equipment.

Background:

BS Material Science, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing) plus a minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of internal manufacturing (assembly and test procedures, leading product design teams, NPI and predominately process improvement. Willingness to travel overseas for 3-6 week trips.  Understanding of ISO, statistical process control, Six Sigma certification desired. Need to come from high volume electronics assembly.
