Job Description


Supports the outside sales organization by gathering, compiling and transmitting information and documentation to the field as required from inquiry through PO package generation including system configuration confirmations. Responsible for revenue and contribution margin through the sale of new and refurbished systems as well as retrofits and upgrades. The primary contact inside the factory for Customer inquiries and will field all incoming e-mails and telephone requests for product information requested to secure systems purchase orders. Additionally, oversees Customer complaints including escalation to ensure Customer satisfaction and repeat purchase opportunities.


  • In conjunction with the field sales representatives, gathers customer requirements and data for sales leads, and ensures their completeness
  • Works with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director of Operations to evaluate customer requirements against the Company’s capabilities and to identify discrepancies that do not support
  • Coordinates with in-house technical resources to assess the feasibility of compliance with requirements
  • Works with the engineering and service personnel to determine an estimate for the scope of effort and cost to achieve compliance with customer requirements
  • Defines the customer’s performance and commercial requirements with project cost targets and clear path of the product realization path
  • Generates system quotations for sales opportunities in accordance with approved pricing guidelines
  • Assists in the preparation of marketing promotional material and compiles the necessary material to be transmitted to the field in conjunction with system quotations
  • Provides input to marketing and engineering for the design of products or systems such as vacuum chambers, controls, robots, and other components to interface with hardware, and software as required by customer specification
  • Works with sales and engineering groups to schedule and generates scope of product in-house demonstrations
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering or related field, or
  • Minimum of one year work experience in the job offered or related field in semiconductor or capital equipment manufacturing
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, major credit card (for business travel), and passport.


  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, technical journals and papers, and other related material
  • Demonstrable experience with Autodesk Design Review or similar programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively interdepartmentally and externally, with customers and the outside sales organization
  • Ability to develop and track sales cycle activities (forecasting)
  • Complex technical capital equipment knowledge Semiconductor manufacturing equipment knowledge preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate superior customer service skills
  • Must have working knowledge of current required computer skills used in a networked office environment
