Located 30kms north of Goondiwindi, this company has rapidly become a thriving business servicing the local region and beyond and has been operating in the area for 16 years. They specialise in the logistics of grain handling, grain cleaning/drying, storing, marketing and trading.


Reporting directly to the Complex Manager, the Assistant Complex Manager will be responsible for assisting in the management and coordination of all activities within the Grain Handling Complex. This role will work closely with the site team to complete preseason maintenance and the day-to-day servicing to ensure efficient and safe operation of the facility.

The Assistant Complex Manager will aim to transition into the Complex Management position after an initial period of 6 -12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise treatment regimens of grain as required
  • Grading of grain on receival and out turn
  • Monitor and maintain accuracy of grain stock in terms of quality and quantity
  • Ensure that plant and equipment are maintained and repaired as required
  • Train staff in the safe and correct usage of equipment
  • Maintain grain hygiene and integrity on site and ensure grain is stored and handled in accordance with business requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working with grain complexes including both bunker and silo management is essential
  • Experience in export containerisation is highly desirable
  • Previous experience supervising a team is desirable
  • Ideally a background in agriculture machinery repairs and maintenance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of grain hygiene and grain storage


  • Post-secondary qualifications in agriculture would be desirable, but are not essential
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence is essential
  • Current forklift licence and loader ticket or willingness to obtain
