Careful land management practices and an extensive pasture renovation program has ensured this significant enterprise continues to fuel its renowned history of producing high-quality racehorses. Running 3,000 ha, with 2,000 ha of irrigated river flats and undulating paddocks, the pastures on this property have been shown to be amongst the highest quality in Australia. Included on this property is a large beef cattle operation.
This organisation is seeking a dedicated Pasture Agronomist to ensure optimal pasture conditions continue for the growth and development of thoroughbreds and quality cattle.
This is a hands-on, technical agronomic role in which you will assist the Agricultural Manager with pasture and fodder production as well as running the day-to-day farming operations and implementing the pasture renovation program.
Education and Experience
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to reflect skills and experience.
Only 2 hours from Sydney, the incredibly scenic Hunter Valley is known for its premier horse studs, as well as being one of Australia’s most well-known wine regions.
