Our Client:

Our client is a sizable conglomerate operating in various business activities around the world as a multinational company and managing companies in different economic sectors.

Your Role:

Job incumbent will be responsible for supervising the readiness of the machines and equipment (power plant and the workshops). You are expected to set the reactive and preventive plans and programs of general maintenance including the required budget and oversee the implementation of these plans to secure the consistency of operations while in the same time oversee all the departments within your scope.

Your Key Responsibilities would include the following:

  • Participate in preparing the estimated annual budgets for the General Maintenance Department
  • Participates in the study of plans and installations for new projects and development
  • Sets specification of maintenance requirements and projects from local market
  • Establishes studies and plans to eliminate the difficulties that hinder your subordinates
  • Supervises the provision of the needs of different departments of spare parts and operating tools to ensure the optimal operation
  • Oversee the implementation of the set plans
  • Monitor spending to ensure no deviation from the set budget
  • Following up the non-inflated inventory of spare parts and local procurement stocks
  • Find alternative sources of spare parts for the purpose of reducing maintenance costs
  • Pursues customs exemptions for projects
  • Supervises the clearance of shipments of imported spare parts
  • Keep track of all points relating to the performance indicators of compliance with the applicable company regulations, with the writing of the special reports and raising them and discussing them with the responsible manager
  • Participates in the editing of contracts with contractors and supervises the implementation in accordance with specifications
  • Establishes periodic (annual or semi-annual) targets for your team and evaluate their performance in accordance with the agreed indicators of achievement

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in production and engineering experience in FMCGs
  • Planning and budgeting skills
  • Strong supervisory and coaching skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good English
