Job Description

Our client: A conglomerate in Saudi Arabia is looking at hiring an Internal Audit Director.

The role: We need a strategic thought leader who would change the way the audit function is perceived. You would work as a partner to the holding entity and work closely with different business units in specific strategic areas of audit and compliance. Actively collaborating and engaging with business heads, you would provide objective and pragmatic solutions to enhance and protect the organization. Recommend controls and operational improvements to mitigate risk and improve operational functions. Provides oversight to financial investigations and ensures they consider fraud risks in all projects. Scale up the ability and capability within the units to make well-informed decisions. Work & communicate with executive leadership and the board of directors in the identification and performance of audits, consultations, and special projects. Oversee the diagnostic audit for potential acquisitions. Make recommendations to the Board & CEO on audit decisions that have an organisation-wide impact. Candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and/or Master’s degree a plus. CPA, CIA or other applicable certification. Thorough knowledge of COSO framework. 15+ years of audit experience. Should have managed complex projects and multi-industry knowledge. Saudi nationals preferred.

Articulate you should be able to create an environment that fosters transparency and trust. The Audit function should be viewed as an effective and reliable partner by the subsidiaries and the board. Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.
