Job Description

This role involves the creation and distribution of customer value propositions, and the development of business winning bids and proposals encompassing solutions in the land, maritime, aeronautical segments.

Key Responsibilities:

•Identify, develop, lead, qualify and win new, long-term business opportunities to support core capabilities for secure satellite communications, engineering services and product development for sustainable revenue growth

•Grow and develop end user relationships to capture and understand their requirements, influence their future procurements, and position Inmarsat Government capabilities and services

•Build and develop qualified opportunities and pipeline globally. Manage the pipeline and deals towards closure using SalesNow tool, and in accordance with the Business Unit lead to order process

•Support the development of, and execute the DoD and intelligence segment strategy to prioritize efforts according to market dynamics and capability fit

•Develop compelling value propositions and case studies targeted at the DoD and intelligence segments, and work with the Marketing team to generate high quality customer facing materials, including slide decks, brochures or videos

•Become recognized internally and internationally as a leader and influencer in the DoD and intelligence segments by developing a network of contacts with end users, system developers and integrators, Channel Partners, satcom terminal manufacturers, and by participating in relevant trade shows and conferences

Qualifications

•Demonstrated leadership qualities including entrepreneurial spirit, ability to lead cross-functional teams, track record of winning opportunities, strong marketing skills and an ability to attract and interact with customers at all levels in the government segment.

•Government DoD / Intelligence Community experience, working directly and selling to the US Government; maintains trusted networking relationships in the DoD and intelligence communities

•Understanding of Government procurement

•Demonstrable experience of managing and exceeding sales targets

•Self-starter, able to plan and define expected outcomes

•Strategic agility to position to win opportunities

•Strong experience in building and developing pipeline, closing deals

Desirable:

•Familiar with communication systems and architectures, space and hybrid as well as terminal systems

•Understanding of satellite communication systems, and different frequency bands (L, X, Ku, Ka)

Seeking individual with or able to be cleared to TS/SCI level.
