Our Client: A leading food and beverage FMCG company
Your Role: They are looking for a National Sales Manager to head a large sales and distribution network across the country. Both areas of operational excellence and strategic brilliance are necessary for this role as you would sit on the leadership team and would be accountable for the major chunk of the business volumes. Areas that you need to have an enviable track record are direct distribution, effective management of a large van sales operation, Modern and Traditional trade, managing trade contracts with some of the larger players, sales forecasting and planning. Since the business is on an aggressive growth mode you need to come armed with the relevant experience to hit the ground running. You would be required to devise and implement strategies to enhance sales and distribution, aggressively build the capabilities within the present team.
Must Have: 12+ years of holistic and qualitative sales experience in the FMCG industry, Operational experience is a must but so is the ability to set the direction / re look at current process / challenge status quo.. ability to set strategy is critical for the role. the functional competencies you would have acquired in your stints as a Modern Trade / traditional trade expert, trade marketing expert, category management and sales capability.
