The Vice President of Product Development is charged with all aspects of the manufacturing operation, including new product introduction, planning, procurement, production operations and distribution and logistics at all facilities. As part of the leadership team, you will work with the CEO and Executive Team to define the model to follow for manufacturing, which will enable a robust and rapid delivery of new products in the marketplace.

Key Objectives:

  • Lead and manage engineering team, manufacturing associates, marketing personnel and other highly technical employees, which totals 25 employees.
  • Drive the development and implementation of new product integrations and transition of existing solutions to newer platforms.
  • Set standards, adoption and best practices for product development, with life cycles in the nine to twelve months time-frame.
  • Identify challenges of manufacturing and providing innovative solutions to those challenges. Designs, develops, and implements operational metrics.

Essential Requirements:

  • College degree (Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical), Design, Marketing, Merchandising or Business)
  • A minimum of 8 years in product development, engineering, manufacturing or marketing of short life cycle technical products.
  • LED Lighting and/or Electrical products knowledge.
  • Creative, data-driven problem solver with 3D prototype printer experience
  • Experience and strong background in PIM (Product Information Management Systems) is vital.
  • Demonstrated experience with multiple product launches, and fast pace product transitions in large or start-up environments.
  • Visionary for short life cycle product concepts, next trend technology, and competitive market features.
  • Ability to travel 25% both nationally and international.
