Job Description

Territory Sales Representative-Memphis, TN

Generates revenue by visiting customers, developing customer relationships, submitting quote requests, and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting customer requirements; providing product information.


  • Assume responsibility for a defined sales territory
  • Develop territory sales to be in line with company strategy
  • Maintains customer records by updating pertinent information
  • Develop efficient working relationships between customer ad internal sales
  • Develop a territory sales strategy and successfully implement strategy in coordination with management
  • Create new sales by following leads
  • Create new sales through cold calls and developing potential lead through research
  • Actively travel the territory approx. 4 days a week, 2 weeks a month (overnight stays required)
  • Plan future travel, coordinate schedules and update all digital and paper forms while traveling
  • Help customers with technical questions about product
  • Help customers understand where our product fits into their applications
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, following up to ensure resolution
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities


  • Sales experience in plant environment preferred
  • 4-year college preferred, technical experience can be substitute
  • Building Relationships, People Skills, Customer Focus, Professionalism, Multitasking, Problem Solving, Self-Motivated, Technical Sales experience, Ability to handle high volume projects
