| Job Description | Title: HVAC Technician Level: Mid-High Level Start: June 2024 End: June 2025 2024 - KVES is currently seeking out 3 HVAC Technician for our client, CIMS Limited Partnership in Kitimat, BC. This is based on a one-year contract with a 40-hour Mon- Fri schedule. Please note that this is a Unionized role and you must be willing to join their respective Union, Local 516. In the role of HVAC Technician at CIMS Limited Partnership, you will play a crucial role in contributing to our success by ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, and refrigeration equipment. You will also be responsible for upholding the CIMS Core Values of Our People, Our Promise, Our Passion while delivering exceptional service to our clients. You will report to the Construction Manager and be accountable for: •Assembling, installing, repairing, and replacing a variety of systems in commercial and industrial settings. •Installing, troubleshooting, and overhauling entire heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. •Repairing and replacing components for entire heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. •Providing technical support in the field of servicing mechanical and HVAC systems. •Participating in and adhering to the safety protocols of CIMS LP, while utilizing personal protective equipment You are the ideal candidate for this role if you: •Hold certification as a certified HVAC journeyperson and be a member •3-5 years of experience as a qualified HVAC. •A Provincial Safety Authority Gas Ticket •Good communication skills, both verbal and written. •Basic computer skills. •Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for effective interaction with management, customers, vendors, and co-workers on a daily basis. •The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. •Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy. •The capability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion and meet tight deadlines. •A Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver’s abstract Your success in this role will be measured by: •Accurately preparing work estimates. •Effectively interpreting and utilizing blueprints. •Proficiently installing and calibrating controls, including wiring. •Ensuring precise measurement and installation of refrigeration or air conditioning components. •Thoroughly testing systems for leaks and functionality. •Adhering to legislative requirements, maintaining detailed documentation, performing maintenance and repairs and ensuring equipment safety and cleanliness.
