Project Manager – Air Quality / Stack Testing

Are you a senior professional with knowledge and experience who is skilled in stack testing and air quality monitoring? Are you driven to provide clients with high-quality results while guaranteeing compliance and a steadfast commitment to safety?

Sequence has been exclusively retained and is currently seeking a talented senior professional to serve as project manager for one of the nation's most respected full-service environmental remediation, water resource, and civil engineering firms. With a strong presence across the United States and expanding into international markets, they serve a diverse range of clients, including oil companies, mining operations, agricultural businesses, municipalities, private industries, governmental agencies, public and private utilities, and developers.

This is currently the most high-profile position of its kind within the niche industry regionally.

Reporting directly to the organization's Air Quality Division Manager, the role is responsible for the comprehensive evaluation, scheduling, analysis, and reporting of all stack emissions testing activities. The position holds consultative, reporting, and field oversight responsibilities.

From the consulting side, duties include examining data and producing detailed technical reports, which are vital to providing valuable insights that assist customers in making informed decisions regarding the operation of their facilities. So, technical expertise is essential in maintaining compliance with environmental regulations.

In the field, technical prowess is desired with oversight of field crews and equipment calibration and maintaining mobile lab trailers. So, team scheduling/management and project oversight is just as important as the ability to troubleshoot and operate emission monitoring instrumentation - ensuring accurate measurements of a wide range of industrial process emissions.

The role is also crucial in interacting with clients and regulatory agencies for compliance. The organization strives to develop long-term client relationships by offering comprehensive scientific solutions to address complex resource management challenges. They are committed to client satisfaction; they prioritize delivering services in a timely and cost-effective manner, ensuring efficient and effective solutions for their clients' needs.

So, beyond interaction with clients to represent their interests, a key focus is on helping with quality assurance, building close relationships, and cross-selling new business opportunities. So, an individual with strong interpersonal communication skills is desired.

General Qualifications:

  • Five to 15+ years of stack testing experience, conducting manual and continuous analyzer EPA methods.
  • Experience with CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems)
  • Proven ability to schedule, manage, and oversee test crews and run compliance programs,
  • Strong skills in writing and reviewing complex source test protocols and reports.
  • Effective interface with regulatory agencies and clients
  • Ability to assist in business development and client base expansion.
  • Dedication to safe work practices and excellence.

The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related field, or extensive experience in stack testing in lieu of a degree. The role requires comfort working at heights, lifting equipment, and willingness to travel (clean driver's record allowing insurance coverage for company vehicles).

Technical skills and experience are paramount for engagement with client personnel on diverse manufacturing, mining, oil/gas, and commercial job sites, each with unique stack configurations. So, adapting to different environments and collaborating with various professionals is vital to success and much sought after in an individual.

This could be the ideal role for a more senior professional seeking to find a long-term home with a stable and thriving organization. It could also be an opportunity for a talented mid-level professional seeking a new challenge with the opportunity to take a step up into a key project leadership position.

This position offers an attractive compensation package designed to reward contributions. In addition to a competitive salary commensurate with experience, providing a solid foundation for financial well-being, the position has performance bonus potential reflective of achievements in the role.

The company is committed to investing in its staff and personnel. They believe that their people are their most important resources and work to foster a supportive and rewarding work environment. They value professional growth and offer solid opportunities for advancement within the organization. So, strive to allow employees to expand their skills, take on new challenges, and reach new heights in their careers.

Joining the firm means becoming part of a dynamic and engaging work culture. They believe in creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere where individuals can thrive and find fulfillment in work. Their corporate values encourage collaboration, innovation, and celebrating achievements together.

This same philosophy applies to their approach to compensation and benefits.

The organization understands the importance of comprehensive benefits in supporting overall well-being. They offer a robust benefits package that includes 100% coverage of employee medical insurance premiums and dental and vision coverage. To help plan for the future and secure employee financial stability by offering a generous 401(k) retirement plan with a match.

Well-being extends beyond financial and physical health, which is why they have an array of additional benefits, including a health savings account (HAS - allows you to set aside pre-tax funds for eligible medical expenses), vacation, and additional paid time off to help ensure a healthy work-life balance.

They understand that unexpected events can occur, which is why the organization additionally provides critical illness and accident plans to allow additional protection and peace of mind. Life insurance coverage is also included, offering financial security for employees and their loved ones.

If you are seeking an exciting environmental consulting opportunity that offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a rewarding work environment, this would be the right opportunity.

This position is slated to be based out of the organization's Las Vegas, NV office branch, but could potentially be based nearby with commute to the location.

Relocation assistance would be available for the right individual.
