Sequence has been exclusively retained and is currently seeking a capable and motivated Superintendent to undertake concrete tank coating and structures restoration efforts here in North Carolina.

Our client, one of the industry's most respected construction and remediation firms for concrete structures, is seeking to fill the position due to retirement and organizational expansion.

This direct hire position offers job stability, base salary compensation, a vehicle, daily per diem, bonuses, 401k w/match, and excellent health care coverage and additional benefits.

This is a high-profile position within the field operation, serving clients throughout the region with an excellent opportunity to advance within the company. Superintendents with the company play a crucial role in effectively planning, executing, and directing field projects. The company has a vast amount of work and backlog, so key is bringing on board an individual that can hold to deadlines and work within budgets.

The position has significant interaction responsibilities, and in coordination with Project Managers, in the direction of field personnel to ensure the successful completion of projects involving the inspection, coating, cleaning, repair, and modification of prestressed composite tanks and other concrete structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, train, and communicate effectively with field personnel - provide clear instructions and develop comprehensive plans to accomplish project objectives.
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones, ensuring efficient progress in the field.
  • Supervise and direct employees' work on the job site, overseeing a team of two or more employees.
  • Perform repairs, cleaning, inspections, and coating tasks on prestressed composite tanks and other concrete structures. Prepare detailed written reports to communicate findings to the owner and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts between project documents and existing conditions; promptly communicating these concerns to the Project Manager.
  • Complete and submit all required field paperwork using a computer or tablet within the designated timeframe.
  • Analyze gathered information and provide repair recommendations based on sound judgment and expertise.
  • Recommend suitable employees for specific job assignments.

The ideal individual would have at least 5 years of fieldwork experience with concrete structures or a proven track record in the water/wastewater, infrastructure repair, and/or coatings industry. The role requires a valid Driver's License, a clean driving record, and appropriate insurance coverage are a must.

Additional Desired Traits:

  • Demonstrated understanding of typical construction materials and methods.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer, tablet, and smartphone usage.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
