Job Description Multiple Positions Available – Bathurst Island, Tiwi Islands

Shine People Solutions specializes in recruiting staff for a wide variety of industries in regional and remote areas of Australia. We are currently assisting an organization that serves as the employment, training, and allied education services provider for the Tiwi Islands Communities.

Located just a short, 30-minute flight from Darwin, this beautiful island offers daily flights and a twice-weekly ferry service for easy access. Relocation assistance is available for successful candidates.

We are seeking three dedicated individuals to fill the following full-time roles on Bathurst Island:

CDP Employment Consultant (x 1) position:
Responsibilities:
  • Providing guidance and support to Community Development Programme (CDP) participants.
  • Developing and implement tailored employment plans.
  • Facilitating training and skill development workshops.
  • Collaborating with community stakeholders to identify employment opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience as a CDP Employment Consultant
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the CDP Contractual obligations
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with clients, peers and relevant agencies
Trainer & Assessor (x 2) positions:
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality training and assessment in either Community Services or Hospitality Services.
  • Undertake and develop pre-training procedures including administration.
  • Design & develop engaging learning materials and resources.
  • Assess learner competency and provide constructive feedback.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 or a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education
  • Evidence of current industry skills and knowledge
  • Evidence of recent and relevant professional development in VET
  • Experience designing and delivering education and training programs for Indigenous adults for whom English is not a first language and literacy and numeracy skills are low.
