Job Description

QHSE Manager – Manufacturing, Memphis, TN


  • Oversees the responsibility for ensuring that the appropriate current standard quality, safety, and environment systems are implemented and effective
  • Meets with customers/suppliers to negotiate quality standards, resolve quality issues, and perform APQP on new programs
  • Responsible for the performance and morale of all co-workers within the area of responsibility
  • Ensure that the Healthy, Safety and Environment of the company and its employees is running efficiently and effectively


  • Manage Quality, Safety, Environment programs to ensure compliance with ISO:9001/14001/45001 and AAR regulations
  • Represents the organization in regulatory and customer audits as needed
  • Manage Supplier audits and facilitates internal audit teams and schedules
  • Manage internal and supplier PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and FIA requirements to completion
  • Lead and coach quality techs and quality engineers
  • Facilitate top management review meetings and maintain the integrity of the QMS
  • Maintain a calibration system for the company and customer testing equipment
  • Develop and implement inspection program and visual standards
  • Manage NC material flow and organized MRB meeting to disposition material
  • Ensure processes adhere to Group procedures and requirements
  • Manage CAR database – follow up with CAR owners for updates and verifies appropriateness of root cause and CA plan
  • Analyze CCR data and translates to meaningful corrective actions
  • Reviews CCRs with CFT to ensure actions are being completed and driven to completion
  • Develops inspection criteria for injection molding and forging processes


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or non-technical degree with 15 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced degree in quality management, engineering or business discipline preferred
  • Understanding of Heat treatment, Forging of Steels, and injection molding of Plastics
  • Competent to understand Engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Ability to understand and measurement instruments like Calipers, micrometers, and hardness testing
  • Qualified auditor with knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems or equivalent
  • Six Sigma and lean certifications or training
  • Self-starter that can work in an independent manner
  • Computer proficient; detailed and comprehensive report writing
  • Knowledge and experience with basic problem-solving tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality tools like PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), problem solving tools like A3 and 8D
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
