In this role you will become an integral part of our sales team focused on building new business, closing and expanding opportunities meeting revenue objectives.

The territory is the South East and the target markets are high volume manufacturing companies including automotive, consumer goods, plastics & packaging.

Responsibilities and Measurable Results:


Measurable Results

Prospecting: Identify a target list of new accounts and key contacts. Consistently find new opportunities and new customers focusing on Automation companies, OEMs (Automotive, CPG, Plastics & Packaging, Food/Bev) or any company that is using automated machines to build products.

· Developing a qualified pipeline

· Working with the correct decision makers (Business, IT & Financial), where there is a business problem to solve (Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness/OEE) and there is an implication to not solving the problem.

Qualification: Ensure all pipeline opportunities meet minimal qualifications. Fit assess opportunities using our proven sales process.

· Qualifications are assessing need, timing, budget, capabilities match and implementation schedule.

· Adept at ensuring that all business, financial/procurement and IT decision makers and influencers are effectively included in successful sales cycles to reduce sales cycle time.

· Schedule targeted number of demos monthly for fit assessed opportunities including coordinating with internal technical team to support customer when needed.

Presenting: Effectively present a business driven proposal as needed to convince the business level, user level and financial level decision makers why this solutions should be purchased now and not from your competitors.

· Present the business case that aligns to customer needs as defined during the qualification phase.

· Align scope, schedule and cost.

· Effectively position unique qualifications and corporate overview.

· Create targeted number of proposals monthly working closely with technical team and sales team.

Close sales timely in enough volume to meet annual business objectives.

· Winning sales to meet and exceed new revenue objectives

Required Skills/Experience:

  • A self-starter, results driven - can work autonomously
  • Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; team player
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in the (manufacturing industry experience – a plus)
  • Follows a structured sales process or method
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales metrics and revenue goals in a similar environment
  • Accurate entry and management of lead data in a CRM system required (
  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office)
  • 4-year College degree or equivalent experience - a plus
