Job Description

Controller Bilingual-Chinese, Memphis, TN

Our client is seeking a Bi-lingual CFO for their new US Headquarters who will provide a full range of financial management, involving accounting, taxation, and treasury.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in financial system establishment and in the formulation of accounting standard entries
  • Participate in the establishment of cost accounting rules
  • Participate in the formulation of accounting standards for business enterprises

BUSINESS SUPPORT:

  • Learn overall business, deeply and quickly, take on various financial roles and put into practice.
  • Responsible for providing financial support to U.S locally and Asia Pacific region, identifying risk points in business development, understanding financial processes to ensure smooth business development
  • Work with sales, product and supply chain teams to provide them meaningful and accurate financial data and information support, as well as provide business analysis and decision-making advice for the business side
  • Work with the new business project team and help them identify potential financial risk points so that they can anticipate and respond to financial risks before they arise
  • Review current processes and procedures from a financial perspective to improve efficiency
  • Develop relationships with local banks for investments, loans and credit establishment and credit worthiness
  • Lead audits, establish monthly closings and prepare reports of financial metrics to clearly monitor and manage “health’ of business
  • Participate in local strategy discussions and direction

FINANCIAL DUTIES:

  • Accounting: Coordinate and arrange the American company to handle the accounting, issue the monthly report timely and accurately, make sure the annual report get “unqualified” auditor opinion
  • Treasury: Responsible for local internal and external cash flow movement, assist the HQ to manage the security of capital assets
  • Tax: Responsible for local tax declaration, tax audit and other local tax affairs
  • Operation Management: Provide multi-dimensional operation data, complete operation analysis of regional departments and implement local operation management actions
  • Financial Risk Management: Identify and disclose local internal and external financial risks in time, and timely report to HQ finance department; Assist in implementing and managing local risks

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in accounting or financial management; Chinese and English can be used as working languages
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in finance or related area in a multinational company is preferred
  • Experience in U.S. market is preferred, financial experience in factory construction is preferred
  • Certified accountant is preferred (AICPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent education)

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Familiar with U.S. GAAP accounting principles
  • Familiar with business management, financial management and other related knowledge
  • Familiar with U.S. tax laws and regulations
  • Familiar with financial software and office automation software application
