Job Description

HR Manager

Our client is seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee all areas of human resources. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration; driving positive employee relations; monitoring and ensuring compliance with the Company's legal obligations as to the FMLA, ADA, Unemployment and other employment laws.


  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Regularly reviews and updates company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Validation of labor hours worked – temp agency and permanent
  • Manage annual base and incentive compensation changes
  • Manage employee data within ADP system
  • Partner with benefits broker to plan, design, implement, and communicate all health and welfare benefit programs, consistent with organizational objectives and strategy.
  • Manages annual enrollment process for health and welfare plans.
  • Acts as 401(k) administrator and partners with accounting firm to conduct annual testing and 5500 filing.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR generalist, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of five years as an HR Generalist.
  • Multiple site experience preferred.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing HR preferred.
  • ADP HR system experience preferred
