Job Description

SAP BOBJ Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the BusinessObjects environment, that supports the reporting needs of the global organization.
The SAP BOBJ Administrator is a key technical resource, for both developers and end users who maintains the BusinessObjects platform and will maintain the application and infrastructure for BI Developers, power users and end users.

  • Design, Install, upgrade, configure and administer BusinessObjects products including Crystal, Webi, Analysis for OLAP, Lumira, and other products
  • Coordinate with System and Network Administrators for architecture and firewall changes
  • Monitor BusinessObjects environment to provide usage and performance metrics
  • Act as a primary technical contact for BusinessObjects support and enhancement issues
  • Provide recommendations on scale and size of platform based on usage or any new requirements
  • Install support packs or OSS notes and coordinate3 with appropriate parties for regression testing of current production reports
  • Monitor SAP BO BI platform for availability and proactively provide solutions to ensure best possible service uptime
  • Troubleshoot issues reported by developers and users and provide root cause analysis for the issues reported. Escalate issues to SAP as needed
  • Add and maintain users in the CMC including management of Single Sign On
  • Promote objects to quality and production environments from the development environment following change requirements and procedures
  • Provide usage information of the BI Platform as requested
  • Develop, manage, and maintain user roles and security within the BI platform (CMC)
  • Provide and document solutions to technical issues as they occur
  • Set and document technical standards and guidelines related to the BusinessObjects reporting environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience of hands-on BusinessObjects administration, development and operations experience
  • 3+ years’ experience working with BOBJ and S4 HANA
  • Administration experience in BOBJ 4.1 at minimum including access security setup in CMS, performance tuning, Windows AD experience and SSO
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well across all levels within the organization
  • SSO Set up for both AD and SAP
  • Experience with Access levels and security design
  • Ability to gather statistics from CMC & Audit for regular maintenance
  • Hands – on experience in designing technical architecture, installation and configuration of BI Stack
  • Must be able to operate independently and with little guidance
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Strong problem solving, trouble shooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20% annually
