Job Title: Demolition Tech PT/FT*

Placement is with a full service demolition and project prep company. We specialize in clearing the way for general contractors, carpenters, and DIY-minded homeowners. Demo techs are responsible for assisting the team in cleaning debris and disassembling construction components while maintaining RCDs standards in customer service, safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. Our techs are also tasked with assembling staging, installing floor and dust protection, and other general labor.

Job Summary: A successful Demolition Tech is able to safely operate hand and power tools as well as heavy machinery, effectively communicate with the demolition team, and perform all duties in accordance with safety regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery to clear old or unsound building structures. Gut spaces to prepare for work to be completed
• Direct cars away from demolition job sites
• Signal heavy equipment operators to ensure that heavy machinery and equipment are correctly positioned
• Perform regular maintenance on all tools, machinery, and equipment
• Assess building structures to identify their structural components and determine the most efficient methods to perform demolitions
• Strip building structures of reusable materials such as pipes, radiators, and steel beams
• Remove debris, rubble, and hazardous materials from job sites

Required Education and Skills:

• OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required
• Proven demolition or construction experience
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and heavy machinery
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Good physical stamina
• Strong mechanical skills
• Effective communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Other Requirements:

This position will occasionally require travel throughout the state of VT

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times
