Indigenous Marketing Traineeship – North Sydney

Shine People Solutions is an Aboriginal owned business, we assist companies to expand their Indigenous workforce and recruit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across all levels of a business.

Our client is a reputable organisation who provides Apprenticeship and Traineeship support services on behalf of the Commonwealth Government. This is an Indigenous Identified role and we are currently seeking interest from candidates who identify as Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander.

They are currently seeking a Marketing Trainee to be based in their North Sydney office. This is a fulltime position, and the successful applicant will be given the support to complete a Certificate II or Certificate III in Business Administration. Essential to this position is an organised and motivated self-starter to work in a challenging and rewarding team environment. You will be a strong communicator with a genuine interest in digital marketing, multimedia applications and social media management.

Your responsibilities in this role will require you to;

  • Provide broad administrative support to the marketing team
  • Be involved in building up a social media presence and digital marketing campaigns
  • Communicate with different types of people, in person, via email and over the phone
  • Undertake research and share ideas with your team
  • Commit to completing a 12 month traineeship in Business Administration

As you work towards completion of your traineeship, you will be given the training and support required to set you up for success.

To be successful in these roles you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Identify as an Australian Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander person
  • Strong computer skills
  • Interest in Social Media Applications and multimedia marketing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills, and an understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines
  • A demonstrated ability to show initiative
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills

The National Training Wage in on offer and these roles are suitable for recent school leavers wanting to start their administrative career, OR people with up to 5 years work experience looking to further develop their skills and qualifications.
