Shine People Solutions, an Aboriginal-owned business, is currently recruiting on behalf of a company that specialises in providing office supplies, furniture, technology and workplace solutions to businesses and organisations across Australia.   
   
This organisation is currently seeking interest from candidates who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, to fill a full-time Collections Officer role in Mascot, NSW.    

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in Credit Control or AR Collections Officer roles, have a keen attention to detail, delivering high-quality work consistently, and excel in professional written and verbal communication with a customer-focused approach.

In this role you will be responsible for:   
  • Taking ownership of a complex ledger and managing the reduction in aged debt through collection activities
  • Supporting Accounts Receivable Manager with weekly operational reports
  • Leading ledger review sessions with Accounts Receivable Manager and Sales Account Managers as required
  • Support to coach, train and develop new Collections Officers in the team
  • Maintaining structured & clear notes about collection activities (calls or emails), in line with procedures
  • Reducing the aged debt in line with the agreed targets
  • Working with internal teams (such as Banking team) to manage account reconciliations as required
  • Escalating and liaise with internal departments in relation to disputes on customer accounts
  • Building relationships internally and externally to keep customer satisfaction high whilst maintaining a low balance on the aged debt
  • Reviewing and escalate customer disputes
  • Handling inbound/outbound calls regarding issues on a customer's account
