We are seeking a supply chain project manager to play a crucial role in creating value for the members. The supply chain project manager is responsible for collecting data necessary to issue Requests For Quotations to suppliers for material and non-material programs. The project manager will: perform analysis of RFQs and make recommendations to the President and the supply chain committee as to the best package, negotiate terms, award packages, and participate in supplier presentations, supplier meetings, and Supply Chain team meetings. The supply chain project manager will identify new supply sources to minimize supply chain risk and implement strategies to drive costs out of the supply chain. The primary focus will be on material programs, but the supply chain project manager will also participate in non-material programs as needed.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
· Create Request For Quotations.
· Negotiate and create SOC Agreements.
· Develop negotiating strategies with President, Senior Project Manager, Purchasing Committee, and Technical Committee.
· Identify and implement new cost savings opportunities.
· Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to help members maintain a competitive edge.
· Assess and manage potential risks in the supply chain, implementing strategies to ensure continuity of supply for the members.
· Refine SOC Agreements to make them stronger and more binding with suppliers and members.
· Manage supplier performance issues, warranty, defects, recalls, etc.
· Manage and evaluate strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent relationships.
· Make presentations at Supply Chain and Board meetings.
· Participate in IBEX trade show and others as needed.
· Work on additional projects as assigned by the President.
