Location: Houston, TX   Specialization: Highway Engineering

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead business development efforts targeting transportation and public works clientele, including but not limited to TxDOT, HCTRA, local public works departments, and transit agencies such as Houston Metro.
  • Assume the role of Project Manager, overseeing the operations and execution of transportation projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop, supervise, and monitor project activities, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule parameters.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to supporting staff involved in transportation projects, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Actively participate in engineering organizations such as ACEC, ASCE, and AASHTO, contributing to industry advancements and networking opportunities.
  • Support company-wide transportation initiatives, aligning efforts with organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in the state of Texas or have the ability to obtain licensure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management scheduling, and financial tools.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Bring forth 15 or more years of experience in transportation design.
  • Exhibit prior experience in TxDOT Transportation Project Management.
  • Proficiency in OpenRoads and ProjectWise software platforms.
  • Possess established relationships with TxDOT and other transit and transportation agencies within the Houston region.
