Site Surveyor – Architectural / AutoCAD

Sequence has been retained and is currently seeking a talented Site Surveyor with Architectural and AutoCAD skills to collect site-surveys and collect as-built data for project sites throughout the Southern region of the United States.

Our client, one of the nation's leading firms focused on retail store development and renovation, has had a protracted heavy workload for the past several years. With the departure of employees through retirement, the organization now has a need to bring onboard a dynamic individual to collect site data and develop as-built drawings.

Their CAD group is considered a critical area of their business. When that group excels, it significantly impacts the company and positively affects reputation with customers.

The ideal individual for this role would be a self-motivated professional who desires to learn and demonstrates initiative, and possesses time management abilities to finish assigned tasks within deadlines. So, someone who is both detailed oriented and reliable with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

General Duties:

  • Conduct site-surveys and collect as-built data
  • Complete on-site 365 photographs
  • Produce project-specific as-built drawings as scheduled
  • Create client specific drawing templates utilizing AutoCAD
  • Review all architectural as-built survey drawings
  • Perform quality assurance on survey and construction drawings
  • Work in conjunction with Project Manager to meet schedule deliverables
  • Travel as needed, up to 70% of the time

The ideal background of the right candidate would include:

  • Graduate of a two-year degree program or graduate of a vocational program in Survey, Architecture or CAD
  • 3 years or more experience in AutoCAD 2007 or higher
  • 2 years or more of on-site construction survey of existing commercial buildings
  • Strong knowledge of XRef’s and layer management
  • Working knowledge of 260 cameras; Matterport knowledge a plus
  • Standard knowledge of construction, plumbing and electrical standards
  • Ability to use laser measure and read measuring table
  • Ability to travel to project sites, as needed
  • Retail and/or Convenience store knowledge preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Acute attention to detail

This role can be based anywhere in the Southern region of the United States (ideally the Nashville, TN area, but any location with travel access would be acceptable) with travel to client sites as applicable. Generally, territory to travel would be Southern States from Tennessee over to Virginia and down to Louisiana and over to Florida.
