The Systems Administrator- Wargaming shall perform the full range of system administration and database management tasks to include Linux, and Windows server operation system administration, installation, configuration, and reconfiguration; software install, load, and applications server configuration; system performance monitoring and multi-server troubleshooting; security and user id/duty position management; oracle database server management, backup, recovery, and maintenance in a real-time, on-line, redundant backup data server configuration; database and applications server performance monitoring, problem documentation, and field-level resolution; database SQL query and Oracle Report writer reports generation to satisfy user articulated requirements; GUI customization and management, and maintenance of system files. The Systems Administrator (W) shall also provide support to install and upgrade Air Force Modeling and Simulation Training Toolkit (AFMSTT) architectures as directed by the government. This position requires a contractor with a minimum of an Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, electrical/electronic engineering, or mathematics or 4 years relevant experience and an additional 2 years’ experience administering large, multi-server, workstation/Xterm client, thin-client, relational database structured application systems are required; MCSA certification highly desired. Systems experience with LINUX; Oracle Database Administration, SQL query; LINUX scripting languages; system/database monitoring; and multi-server troubleshooting is recommended. Experience in networking in a TCP/IP-based, intranet-like, distributed client environment is recommended. Prior DoD or military experience in a wargaming or operational environment extremely helpful. Position is located at Osan Air Base in the Republic of Korea; employees will be covered under the US-South Korea status of forces (SOFA) agreement. No relocation allowance will be provided.
