DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will be responsible for reducing customer returns related to damage.

Will work to improve the customer’s experience.
Will be conducting cost and benefits analysis of adopting new packaging specifications and formats.
Will be managing Communications with key internal stakeholders to ensure risks associated with changeover are mitigated.
Manage process of gaining customer acceptance for newly identified opportunities
Creates plan to standardize and optimize division packaging and materials handling processes.
Identifies and implements best practices across division.
Leads packaging aspects of new product development along with projects designed to improve plant efficiency, package components quality and decrease cost of goods.
Drives confirmation of new package testing protocols and procedures.
Generate, develop and execute packaging ideas by leveraging both existing equipment and partnering with engineering on new equipment.
Implements and maintains package specification content, creation and validation for all new and existing package components.
Required to communicate cross-functionally with R&D in addition to communicating with Quality, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service.

Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of packaging engineer experience along with material handling equipment experience
Effective interpersonal skills to work with and lead cross-functional teams.
