JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Nozzle Technician - Lead in Flint, MI. Our client is a well-established company in the manufacturing industry. The Nozzle Technician - Lead is responsible for installing, removing, and setting up molds within injection molding machines, ensuring proper connections to water lines, hydraulics, and other auxiliary equipment, and monitoring the molding process to ensure quality production of plastic parts. This position also involves maintaining all nozzle and ejection components, including the rebuilding of hydraulic cylinders. The role offers the potential to grow into a leadership position, monitoring and motivating co-workers while maintaining company 5S and safety standards.
Responsibilities of a Nozzle Technician - Lead include:

Installing and removing plastic injection mold tools.

Ensuring all water lines, hydraulic lines, and auxiliary equipment are properly installed.

Maintaining all nozzles and ejectors.

Managing oil and wastewater areas.

Building and repairing nozzles.
-
Performing preventative maintenance on presses and auxiliary equipment.

Assisting Maintenance and Tooling departments as needed.

Following all safety guidelines and maintaining company 5S standards.
Job Requirements of a Nozzle Technician - Lead:

High school diploma or GED required (candidates seeking their GED will be considered).
-
Previous injection molding experience is required.
-
Hi-lo experience is required.
-
Must be comfortable working at heights.
-
Basic math, reading, writing, and comprehension skills are required.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to multitask and handle diverse assignments concurrently.
Working Conditions:
-
Non-temperature-controlled environment (heat up to and over 90 degrees, colder during winter months).
-
Concrete floors and high noise levels (hearing protection required in production areas).

Safety glasses are required.
Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to lift 10 to 50 lbs., bend, twist, stretch, and reach approximately 80 times per day.

Ability to safely climb straight ladders.
-
Must be able to stand and/or sit for 8 hours.
-
Ability to distinguish colors.
-
Ability to work 40 hours per week and overtime as needed.

Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
