Duties & Responsibilities:

• Mine planning: Evaluate and recommend engineering projects for mining group operations. Write Approval for Expenditures (AFEs), planning locations and amount of ore to mine in the next 2 years, and stay within budget. Help to create and follow predetermined development plans with regard to AutoCAD drawings.
• Order parts: Order parts and equipment for development projects. Make equipment recommendations.
• Coordinate daily work: Help determine the work to be completed on a daily basis (e.g. blasting, bolting, loading, hauling, etc.), supervising direct reports; track equipment hours and ensure routine maintenance of equipment
• Monitor crew safety: Ensure crew is working safety, identifying any safety problems and taking action to correct them.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering and a minimum of one year of underground mine experience. We will consider recent graduates who have mining internship experience. Qualified candidates will have knowledge of Auto Cad, mine planning, ground control, and ventilation.
