Position Summary:

This Mechanical Designer will furnish support for all process and product drawings relating to the production of the products that the company manufactures and sells. He/she will interact with all departments of the company relating to the production of parts,and will also maintain a work environment that is conducive to teamwork and solid professional development. He/she will also complete routine CAD tasks using SolidWorks, analyze engineering design documents/specifications and prototypes, and make suggestions concerning required methods, processes, and tools up to and including bill of materials.

Responsibilities Include:

Develop Mechanical designs using SolidWorks
Produce new product production drawings
Update existing product and tooling drawings
Generate and/or complete Change Request Notices when needed
Review customers' drawings and specification

Qualifications, Skills, and Educational Requirements:

Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline
Previous experience in an engineering and manufacturing setting
Depth of experience in SolidWorks
Strong knowledge in drawing standards (blueprint reading & dimensioning)
Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance)
Excellent verbal and written communication, administrative, organizational and technical skills
