📍 Location: Toronto GTA
💰 Wage: $38.75/hr + midnight shift premium of $1 per hour and weekend shift premium of $2 per hour. Higher base if you are qualified for a higher level. Plus Competitive Benefits.
🏭 Industry: Food Manufacturing or food packaging experience required

TO BE HIRED YOU NEED:

Two (2) years of experience in food manufacturing maintenance or high speed packaging. Millwright license is good to have, but not required.

Ability to work 12-hour continental rotating shifts (day, afternoon, night), including weekends.

Easy access to one of the plants in the GTA located in Mississauga, Brampton, North York, and Woodbridge (Vaughan). Once hired, you will not travel from site to site; you will work at the location where you are interviewed.

🔧 Your Role: Keep the Plant Running

As a Maintenance Mechanic (Level 1), you’ll be the frontline support for production, packaging, and facilities maintenance. From troubleshooting breakdowns to performing preventative maintenance, your hands-on work ensures safe, continuous operation of our plant.

✅ What You’ll Be Doing:

• Repair, modify, install, and maintain machinery and equipment across processing and packaging lines
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using fitting, welding, metal fabrication, and machining skills
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Support equipment setup, disassembly, and relocation
• Perform and document preventative and corrective maintenance
• Ensure compliance with GMP and safety protocols
• Maintain shop organization and complete electronic shift reports

📌 What You Bring to the Team:

• Hands-on experience with machine shop tools (drill press, grinders, saws, etc.)
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems
• Solid communication skills—both written and verbal
• Knowledge of CMMS and Lockout/Tagout procedures (preferred)
• Experience with robotics (Schubert) is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Millwright License or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2 years in mechanical/electrical maintenance, in a food production environment or high-speed food packaging environment
