Our client is rapidly expanding and seeking a motivated Civil Engineer - E.I.T. for their in-house civil engineering division. Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll provide crucial engineering support for a range of projects related to residential and site development. Your expertise will contribute to solid decision-making, enabling professional recommendations for infrastructure planning and design.

  • Conduct feasibility investigations for new project acquisitions, including identifying constraints, preparing cost estimates, and developing comprehensive project schedules.
  • Facilitate the production of design plans for regulatory agency and client submissions and approvals.
  • Assist the Project Manager with engineering design tasks, technical reports, and construction administration, including site visits, bid documents, submittal reviews, and pay applications.
  • Coordinate and execute engineering services for assigned projects, covering engineering reports, design calculations for infrastructure and drainage systems, overall grading, and pavement design.
  • Attend and contribute to project progress meetings and agency review sessions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest regulations and criteria for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Implement innovative design concepts for efficiency and cost-saving measures.
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
  • Maintain an understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve successful results and deadlines.
  • Ability to work overtime and travel overnight.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university; registered and active E.I.T. in the required state with the ability to obtain a P.E. License.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of engineering experience related to Land Development Projects (Residential experience preferred).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office platforms; experience with ArcGIS preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and expand responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Provide analytical thinking.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form or via company applications.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.
