Human Resource Generalist-London

Our London client is a leader in the food industry. They are currently looking for an HR Generalist to join their team. As a member of the Human Resources team, you are an energetic professional ready to take on new challenges. As an HR Generalist, you have primary responsibilities in a variety of human resources activities such as, employee relations, HR Compliance, Progressive Discipline, Attendance Management, WSIB Management, and HR project work.


Responsibilities:

  • Handling and dealing with WSIB matters.
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution and mediation of employee concerns
  • Ability to provide guidance to employees regarding Employment Standards and federal employment programs and ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • Conduct employee onboarding
  • Provide guidance to managers regarding performance management and disciplinary matters
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, and organizing team building activities
  • Offer recruiting assistance through screening and interview participation
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates.
  • Assist in development, change and implementation of HR policies and programs
  • Train and provide support to HR team members
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews

Position Requirements:

  • CHRP or CHRL designation preferred or working towards certification
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing / food environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent decision making and problem-solving capabilities
  • Outstanding knowledge on Microsoft Office
  • Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices
