Our Surrey-based industrial manufacturing company is seeking a career-minded Crate & Pallet Builder who also has experience as an Order Picker/Packer in an industrial manufacturing environment to work with its shipping and logistics team.

This position combines custom crate and pallet construction with warehouse order picking/packing of heavy or irregularly shaped industrial products. You’ll use hand and power tools to build durable wooden shipping containers and pallets that ensure our products reach customers safely.

Information On:	Detail:
Compensation	Highly competitive, starting at $33.85 per hour. The rate increases to $34.87 per hour in 2026.
Benefits	A strong union benefits package including comprehensive health coverage and a significant pension plan, reflecting a commitment to employee retention and long-term security.
Shifts	Primary Shifts: 6:30 AM – 2:45 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. (Must be flexible to cover Receiver shift 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM as needed).
Environment	A stable, high-tech, unionized manufacturing facility specializing in heavy industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build custom wooden crates, skids, and pallets to protect products during transport
  
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood using saws, nail guns, drills, and other tool
  
• Pick and prepare industrial components and materials for customer orders
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (training provided if required
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory organization
• Follow all safety and quality standards in a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications

• Experience with carpentry, crating, or pallet construction (industrial or manufacturing setting preferred)

• Comfortable using hand and power tools such as saws, drills, and nail guns

• Previous warehouse or order picking experience is an asset

• Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills

• Reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn

• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
