CNC Machinist (First Shift)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyze specifications, samples and drawings to gain an understanding of required parameters
• Develop a plan of action to manufacture parts according to customer specifications.
• Measuring & marking raw materials needed to manufacture parts.
• Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan.
• Operate equipment to carry out each step correctly to required specifications.
• Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise.
• Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects.
• Maintaining equipment located throughout the machine shop.
• Programming CNC Mills & Lathes using Cam software.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics & operating manuals.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability needed in order to successfully perform the duties of the job.

• Proven experience as a machine operator
• Detail-oriented individual with the ability to handle complex tasks & solve problems.
• Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery in a machining manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of operating laser, lathe and milling machines (HAAS Mills, HAAS Lathes, Fanuc controls & Kern Laser)
• Knowledge and experience of CNC programming using CAM Software
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
