CNC Laser Operator

Our client, a leading manufacturer of high alloyed specialty metals and precision cutting is recruiting for CNC Laser Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join an internationally recognized and reputable company. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position would be responsible to operate CNC laser cutting machines and/or assist other machine operators, select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment, knowledge of the shield gases used during laser cutting operation, monitor the fill level of bulk tank system and report reordering levels to the supervisor, work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities, provide a professional level of attention to detail and focus on the given task, work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency, assemble items as instructed by the Shift Supervisor, prepare product for shipment, lift raw materials, final products and items packed for shipment, manually or using overhead cranes or fork lifts, maintain company standards in the areas of housekeeping, attendance and teamwork, other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and experience:

. 2+ years of experience on CNC laser cutting machines
. Solid background working with sheet metal
. Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
. Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills
. Able to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass
. 2+ years of experience, or certification, with Overhead Cranes and Counter Balance Fork Lifts
. A Team Player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
. Proficient with all Microsoft Office products
. Reliable transportation. Not public transit accessible
. Positive attitude and willingness to work!
